Photoshop Seascape Madness

Photoshop Madness, Fred Showker surfs the web in search of good Photoshop stuff

PHOTOSHOP MADNESS for November PHOTOSHOP MADNESS is where you practically go mad trying to find the most useful stuff for Photoshop! This is continued from the HDR topic this month with 'Seascape' madness -- mad HDR seascape photography of places you WISH you had gone to shoot photos. . . and convert to HDR.

Be careful what you click -- beware of malware and phishing sites As always, we remind you -- be careful what you click. This is all good clean stuff for'ya this month, because most is at Flickr. But there are always malware, phishing stalker and predator links abundant in many of the replicated sites these days. Whatch those little popups in the text. Just stay on the tutorial / content paths and you'll be okay.
So, here are yet more links of note...

Art from Daniel Cheong

Photoshop Waterscapes Madness

Daniel is a prolific photographer (a French expat living in Dubai) showing oodles of images at his Flickr stream ... Daniel writes ::
I uploaded my first photo on Flickr on November 17th, 2006. I discovered HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography on Flickr, and since then I am totally addicted to this technique. The only bad side is that I have to carry a tripod all the time, and press 5 times the shutter button to get my exposures for the HDR processing! Lately I am using a new technique called DRI (Dynamic Range Increase) - also known as Digital Blending - which gives more natural results than HDR.

Passionate about Light

Photoshop Waterscapes Madness

Ragstatic is from somewhere in Bangalore, Kundhapur, and has uploaded loads of great shots to Flickr. Problem is, his web site appears to be one of those 'affiliate parked pages' and nowhere does a real name appear.
Ragstatic says he is "Passionate about Light , Life and the Human Touch." and images in Flickr carry copious copyright notices, none of which are legal because they're not properly presented. We see a lot of people relying on improper copyright notices, particularly from parts of the world outside the U.S. They all need a lesson in copyright.

In search of the most beautiful Landscape images

Photoshop Waterscapes Madness

We think Kane has actually found them -- and photographed then! You can too! His business, Grasstree Photography offers hands on beginner photography courses as well as more advanced photography workshops and courses aimed at those looking to improve their skills and apply their craft to new subjects. Kane writes :
Originating from New Zealand, I quickly developed a love and appreciation of the rich colours in this fantastic world we live in. I am completely self-taught and have spent countless hours exploring South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales in the search for the most striking, most beautiful Landscape images.

Seascapes and architecture

Photoshop Waterscapes Madness

We're working on the next follow-up to this one, calling it "Architectural HDR" ... but just had to include this one by Vedd Edd from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Follow his Flickr Photostream and you'll find quite a few more. Vedd writes :
I am not a photographer. I am just an enthusiast, nothing more, nothing less. I just like taking pictures the way I see it. Having said that, I have a 9-5 job in the IT field - more specifically, IT security. Taking pictures is just a way for me to escape from my daily routines, a time for myself to enjoy, without any burden to do it.

Real of Unreal

Photoshop Waterscapes Madness

This photo by Paulo Brandao looks too unreal to be real. This is hyper HDR, taken perhaps a tad too far in some people's opinion. We would like to be there though, eh? Taken in Barrio Jesus, Zaragoza, Aragon, ES, using a Nikon D80.
